Convention Program
- There will be programs in the following areas: Argumentation and Debate, Instructional Development (K-12), Instructional Development (Colleges/Universities), Interpersonal/Small Group, Mass Communication, Oral Interpretation and Performance Studies, Rhetorical and Communication Theory, Texas Association for Communication Administration, Texas Forensic Association, Texas Intercollegiate Forensic Association, Texas Community College Speech and Theatre Association, and Theatre.
- There will be District meetings for the entire state of Texas regarding teaching speech/theatre in the state of Texas.
- There will be Interest Group meetings to determine programs for the 2006 convention to be in Amarillo, TX.
- Vendors will be on hand to help educators with outside activities to accompany classroom learning.
- This year participants will be able to enjoy the natural beauty of Galveston Island including a/an Rainforest, Aquarium, IMAX 3D theatre, Discovery Museum, Colonel Paddlewheel Boat cruise, Ridefilm Theatre, and their newest attraction - Schlitterbahn, all within walking distance of the hotel. Moody Gardens is offering a $35.00 four-day pass covering all attractions during the convention. This is a tremendous savings!
- TSCA is the largest Speech Communication State organization in the United States. It consists of Educators from middle school through University level in the fields of speech and theatre, Administrators from all levels, and Professionals from corporate America. The Texas Speech Communication Association has a member base of approximately 700 individuals and is growing!
