Management Lecturer - Business Communication


The Management Department at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin periodically hires non-tenure track faculty members to teach undergraduate courses in Business Communication.

Candidates should have at least a bachelor's degree in the specialization to be taught, with preferred qualifications as having a Master's or PhD, have potential for excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level, a passion for working with students, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Experience working in the corporate or non-profit environment a plus. Currently there are openings for part-time instructors. For the 2021-2022 school year, Lawson Middle School is looking for a certified speech teacher interested in a position as a Professional Communication teacher. The Professional Communications teacher is responsible for helping students learn the listening and speaking skills behind public and professional speaking through speech and communication. The Executive Committee met yesterday afternoon and voted to continue with an in-person convention in San Antonio October 14-16, 2021 to be held at the San Antonio Colonnade Hotel.

Our annual convention will be held in San Antonio October 14-16, 2021. The hotel is being re-branded. Originally known as the Omni San Antonio Hotel at the Colonnade, it will be re-branded as San Antonio Colonnade Hotel in late August.
The call deadline has been extended for the next issue of the Texas Speech Communication Journal. The new deadline will be May 31, 2021. See the Journal page for more details.
TSCA is hosting its annual Conference on October 14-16, 2021 in San Antonio. The Rhetoric and Communication Theory is inviting student research papers to be submitted for presentation at the conference. Papers will be eliglble for a Top Paper award. Submissions will be accepted through May 1, 2021.
