Job Description: Plano ISD is seeking qualified candidates to add to our administrative team as a Coordinator of Theatre, Speech & Dance. The role supports the programs of Theatre Arts, Technical Theatre, Speech, Debate, Dance and Drill Team across all PISD campuses. Candidates should have a strong background in leading / serving in administration or teaching within one of these program areas. This role participates as part of the PISD Fine Arts Administrative team, alongside three other coordinators (Instrumental Music, Vocal Music, and Visual Arts) and the Director of Fine Arts & Special Academic Programs. In the current year, this position was assigned 5 sections of on-level English 3 classes and 2 sections of debate. The speech and debate team enjoys a strong culture fueled by student leadership and a very active booster club. The team has had a great run of success recently. Among some of the most significant this season thus far: multiple breaks at TFA including a finalist in IX, multiple teams advanced to out-rounds at 5A CX state, a finalist at UIL Congress state, and 7 qualifiers to NSDA nationals. Canadian High School is hiring a Speech and Debate Coach for the 2024-2025 school year.

The current full-time position involves a few sections of speech, debate, but subject assignment could change for the right candidate. This position also coaches the prose and poetry.

Primary Purpose: Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in debate and speech (or other academic subject area) Provide instruction and coach students to develop skills and ability to excel in speech and debate. Contribute to the education program as a whole and to the growth of students involved in UIL academics. CHS is very completive in all UIL contest.

Pine Tree High School in Longview, TX is looking for a Speech and Debate Teacher/Coach. The current position includes sections of a Speech and Debate class and several sections of Professional Communications. We would be willing to consider other subject-areas for the right candidate who possesses keen knowledge of speaking and debate events and experience in the speech and debate community.

We are looking for someone who is ready to take our growing program of returning regional and state qualifiers and medalists and build upon their enthusiasm. This person will value practice and tournaments in both the UIL and NSDA circuits for the following events: LD Debate, CX Debate, Congressional Debate, Extemporaneous Speaking, and Interpretation events.
